Mintel is seeking to hire an eager outside sales professional to continue expanding our client base especially in Agency / Consultancy area. The candidate will join a very successful team that serves as an integral part of Mintel’s business. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating leads, driving sales and growth, and maintaining professional relationships with others to secure future business. Individuals have predefined quotas or goals they are required to reach on a monthly basis.

 

This exciting opportunity is for an accomplished, results-driven, sales professional with experience selling within these areas. In addition to being an exceptional individual sales performer, the ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and be a team player that wants to maximize his or her contribution to both individual and team success.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Sell new business and create a strategy to target key clients in professional service sectors of China
  • Create strategy to target new clients
  • Deliver exceptional sales results against target
  • Travel to clients for face-to-face meetings and manage your territory to the highest standards
  • Be able to thoroughly understand a prospect’s requirements and provide a solution based on Mintel’s existing suite of offerings
  • Target clients at the Senior and C-level Executive level within dynamic and progressive organizations
  • Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders
  • Recommend products to customers, based on current needs and interests

 

Requirement:

 

  • Minimum 3 years proven sales results at the executive level
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Ability to travel as role requires
  • An understanding of Quantitative research
  • Experience selling within professional service verticals, especially in agency / consultancy area would be a big PLUS
  • Excellent closing skills
  • Strong business development background, with proven success in establishing and expanding client relationships, and showing excellence in maximizing account potential
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products of services including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques and sales control systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of responsibility and autonomy to enter the verticals listed above
  • Highly polished, professional and consultative selling style and strong business ethic
