The CSM is critical to Mintel’s team approach in servicing, retaining, growing and securing current and future clients. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter who relishes taking ownership of the job at hand. This position will enable Mintel’s sales team to deliver / showcase the full value of Mintel’s solutions to current customers and new prospects.

Commercially, the Client Service Manager is responsible for partnering with Account Managers in servicing clients, ensuring strong retention and facilitating growth within our client portfolio. In partnership with Mintel stakeholders, this individual is expected to leverage strong interpersonal and analytical skills to train our clients, drive further awareness of Mintel’s solutions and deliver value through insights. The CSM is expected to provide timely and thorough responses to ad-hoc client research requests by engaging all appropriate Mintel assets.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create insightful, relevant analysis using data from internal products and services that include consumer attitudes and behavior, new product innovation, fragrance and ingredient tracking technology, and further analytical resources
  • Respond to client requests by turning research findings into actionable insights and commentary that impact our readers’ business initiatives
  • Interact with a wide variety of clients ranging from manufacturers, suppliers, retailers and beyond
  • On an ongoing basis, provide insight directly to clients around key trends and product activity, in-person, over the phone and through webinars
  • Build strong relationships and partner with a wide range of colleagues in other areas of the company including Global Analysts, Consultancy, and Marketing
  • Partner with Mintel’s new business development team to prepare for pitches
  • Train new users and further engage current users to broaden awareness of Mintel solutions
  • Engage with clients daily to gather feedback and understand business objectives
  • Strategize on best client service practices for Mintel’s business to drive up renewal rates
  • Partner with Product Managers to develop and enhance existing products and services

 

Required Experience:

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills
  • Desire to help people and problem-solve; customer-service focused
  • Ability to develop rapport, influence others and maintain strong working relationships
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortability speaking directly with clients
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience using online tools/databases (Salesforce preferred)
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Minimum of 1-2 years professional experience in a research or client service role
  • Must be able to travel up to 25%
