Consultant - Custom research Solutions

Description

 

The role calls for an innovative thinker who is passionate about consumers, markets and brands. You will need to have strong entrepreneurial skills with an ability to build creative solutions, develop proposals and deliver stellar projects that exceed client expectations.

You will demonstrate an area of expertise such as a deep understanding of consumer analysis and behaviour, innovation management, workshop facilitation, white space thinking, trends, opportunity landscaping and new product development.

 Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Interpreting data into meaningful stories with commercial conclusions using Mintel’s full product portfolio
  • Preparing analysis and insight to fit client needs using, where necessary, a combination of Mintel products and bespoke research, specialising in both qualitative and quantitative research
  • Scoping projects with strong commercial awareness
  • Presenting insight either in person or via phone/webex, being confident working directly with clients in a creative, analytical and strategic manner coupled with engaging presentation skills
  • Organised and efficient - managing own diary and client projects effectively
  • Essential to the role is a close collaboration with multiple teams across Mintel

 

 

Key skills which must be demonstrated:

  • Highly developed analytical skills, able to interpret a wealth of information from different sources to build compelling stories with a commercial conclusion
  • Creative problem solving is critical; being able to spot an opportunity; stretch a client’s thinking and then validating the output
  • Experience of qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Broad understanding of innovation processes and methodologies
  • Comfortable presenting to C-level audiences
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, with first class communication skills
  • Additional European languages a plus
  • Flexibility to travel within the UK and Europe when needed
  • Ideally 3+ years’ experience gained in a B2C or B2B environment working within either innovation, product development or category and brand management
