The Content Manager, Asia Pacific will support our Beauty and Personal Care client portfolios by managing a team of analysts based in Asia Pacific to create and deliver expert insight and exceptional client service.  The Content Manager will possess an uncommon combination of skills: a passionate developer of people, an excellent cross-team collaborator and communicator, a curious analyst who seeks to offer inspiring ideas, and a commercially-minded leader who will help us grow our business to meet our clients’ needs and exceed their expectations.

The responsibilities of this position are as follows:

 

  • Driving the vision and continuous improvement of the content, deliverables, and analyst client service activities
    • Reinforce Mintel’s vision among the content team based in Asia Pacific
    • Work with commercial and research leaders to ensure our content meets clients’ current and future needs
    • Work with Sales to establish and monitor an analyst service model
  • Managing published content, ensuring:
    • Content meets client needs in topic and deliverable format
    • Error-free, high-quality content that provides insights to clients and delivers on our promise to clients
    • On-time publishing
  • Managing a team of analysts based in Asia Pacific
    • Establish and uphold a high level of quality in everything produced by the analysts: published content, client service, and marketing activities
    • Coach and develop your team to improve them as analysts and employees. Help them grow professionally.  Encourage continuous improvement through regular feedback
  • Working with sales, marketing, and management to drive revenue and renewals
    • Encourage and contribute to cross-departmental collaboration
    • Maintain effective and regular communication with internal stakeholders and champions
  • Communicating with the global research team, and contributing to and participating in global research initiatives
    • Maintain frequent communication within the APAC region and with the Americas and EMEA regions regarding content development, client needs, and global research initiatives
    • Be an active member of the Global Research Management Team, contributing to and supporting global and regional projects

 

 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years professional experience, with at least five years in either:
    • The beauty and personal care industry, working for a brand or manufacturer, and/or
    • A market research company, agency or trade publication, working for or with beauty and personal care brands
  • At least five years managing a team
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Strong writing and copy-editing skills
  • In-depth experience of disciplines such as NPD/competitive intelligence, brand development and consumer trends
  • Very strong analyst with good presentation skills and ability to be forward looking and base projections on fact, knowledge and good judgment
  • Multi-country knowledge and experience an advantage
  • Ability to travel up to 25%; most travel will be within the APAC region
