We serve as research experts to our clients, helping them advance key business objectives by designing, executing, and analyzing proprietary field research and online quantitative studies on their behalf. Our growing Consultancy team is seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial Research Analyst capable of owning client-facing custom research projects from start to finish. The Research Analyst will also assist in the growth of Mintel’s custom research opportunities by ensuring excellent deliverables and client service support.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Manage and support quantitative and qualitative custom research projects from kick-off to completion, including: questionnaire design, survey programming, fielding, data analysis, and final reporting.
  • Analyze complex data to provide insightful implications and actionable recommendations within the context of the client’s business objectives and competitive environment
  • Interact with Mintel sales and field operations colleagues, as well as external sample providers to execute projects
  • Work on projects for well-known brand names , helping them to understand what makes their customers tick
  • Collaborate with curious minds in an open office environment , or take advantage of quiet work space in the office or work from home options to focus on individual tasks
  • Support clients by answering questions, addressing concerns, and explaining methodologies

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience in a market research role(experience in financial service, telecom, insurance or retail sectors a plus)
  • Experience managing primary, custom marketing research projects is a plus
  • Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail
  • Excellent professional writing and communication skills
  • High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (e.g. pivot tables, complex charting, etc.)
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
  • Self-starter who embraces new challenges
  • Ability to multi-task several projects at once; prioritizing between independent deadlines
  • Experience in the following is desired:
    • Drafting and programming research surveys
    • Client Service
    • Field Research
    • Survey Analysis tools such as SAS, SPSS, or cross-tabulation software
