Mintel has an exciting opportunity for an accomplished, results-driven, sales professional with experience establishing relationships and selling within the Insurance sector. In addition to excelling as an exceptional individual sales performer, the ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and act as a team player that wants to maximize his or her contribution to the team’s success.



  • Maintain and develop existing Insurance account relationships within an assigned portfolio using excellent communication skills, strong follow-up and sharp attention to detail
  • Maintain product knowledge across all Comperemedia channels within Insurance
  • Leverage client relationships to uncover new growth opportunities for the new business team
  • Identify new champions and revenue streams by networking throughout assigned accounts and by leveraging contacts throughout the industry
  • Continuously deliver creative business solutions to prove ROI on a monthly or quarterly basis to aid in the renewal and enrichment process
  • Become a product expert on Comperemedia specific to this client base, their clients and their potential clients
  • Create territory and account level business plans specific to assigned portfolio
  • Deliver accurate forecasts to sales management
  • Effectively utilize Mintel's CRM system (
  • Negotiate and renew client relationships at a 90% retention rate
  • Work effectively with your new business partner to grow the agency portfolio
  • Ability to present data, train, and communicate comfortably in front of large groups
  • Travel up to 60%


Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years proven sales experience at the executive level
  • Strong account management and business development background, with proven success in expanding client relationships and showing excellence in maximizing account potential
  • Experience working with or within the Insurance industry highly preferred
  • Results-driven with a high motivation for sales
  • Highly polished, professional and consultative selling style
  • Both in-person and telephone sales experience
  • Prospecting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills
