What You Will Be Doing:

  • Maintain and develop existing relationships within an assigned portfolio using excellent communication skills, strong follow-up and sharp attention to detail
  • Maintain product knowledge across multiple channels
  • Identify new champions and revenue streams by networking throughout assigned accounts and by leveraging contacts throughout the industry
  • Continuously deliver creative business solutions to prove ROI on a monthly or quarterly basis to aid in the renewal and enrichment process
  • Become a product expert on Mintel products specific to this client base
  • Create territory and account level business plans specific to assigned portfolio
  • Deliver accurate forecasts to sales management
  • Effectively utilize Mintel's CRM system (Salesforce.com)
  • Negotiate and renew client relationships
  • While the majority of the account portfolio is inside-sales based, there will be some travel required (up to 25%)


What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-2 years proven sales experience
  • Account management and business development background preferred, with proven success in expanding client relationships and showing excellence in maximizing account potential
  • Ability to understand how clients use, leverage, and apply market intelligence to their critical business growth strategies
  • Results-driven with a high motivation for sales
  • Highly polished, professional and consultative selling style
  • Strong prospecting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills
