Comperemedia is the premier source for monitoring competitive intelligence on direct marketing.  The Comperemedia Research team seeks a Research Analyst to check and prepare market research solutions, primarily for the financial services, telecom, and insurance industries. The position will include working across a wide variety of clients. The successful candidate will be able to check, produce, and deliver reports using data that has been collected through Comperemedia’s proprietary marketing-tracking database.

The Analyst role reports into the VP of Research and is fundamental to the creation of Comperemedia research content, and includes both syndicated and custom report deliverables. This role may be involved in all phases of a research project, including: scoping, data pulls, data & creative analysis, and presentation development. The analyst will be expected to provide insights and implications with the data, and make actionable recommendations across industries and categories. Regular interaction with internal clients is expected, while interaction with external clients is generally observational and in a support capacity only.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Produce competitive intelligence and market research reports, primarily based on in-house and third party data streams
  • Provide assistance to team members by proof-reading, editing, and collaborating on content initiatives
  • Manipulate large, omnichannel datasets to identify key themes or trends
  • Assist team members in identifying market and consumer trends
  • Deliver visually interesting reports for clients that provide insights and actionable recommendations


Experience and Skills:

  • 2-3 years of prior work experience in a marketing or market research environment
  • BA/BS strongly preferred
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to proactively problem-solve and take initiative
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team
  • Experience with syndicated datasets, such as IRI, ACNielsen, U.S. Government, Claritas, ComScore, etc. is a plus
  • Experience with digital data streams, such as clickstream, social media, SEO, or online ad display a plus
  • Experience within the Insurance, Financial Services, or Telecom industries a plus
