Mintel Consulting is an exciting place for people that have a passion for helping clients grow their business. We are in search of a Senior Consultant with at least 5 years of experience, or perhaps a Master’s degree and somewhat less consulting experience. Candidates will be ready to take a step up in developing client relationships, well-versed in CPG strategy, innovation and design, and eager to develop great trends-based consumer and market research.

Candidates will be asked to demonstrate skills in critical thinking, enjoy presenting to groups, display poise under pressure, and have the ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to participate in and fuel inspiration for creative thinking sessions and workshops required!

 

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Work with account managers and the consulting team to win business and build client relationships
  • Prepare custom analysis and insight for clients and customize deliverables to fit client needs using original research, a library of pre-published content, and external quantitative and qualitative agencies
  • Be able to craft a tight strategic narrative and provide solid recommendation
  • Rapidly organize information, draw conclusions, identify patterns, and succinctly communicate key points
  • Display ability to innovate (eg, develop new products/services with clients, new ways of working in Mintel, develop new research tools)
  • Translate knowledge visually
  • Communicate effectively with a wide range of client-types (eg, manufacturers, retailers, and advertisers) and positions (Directors, VPs, and C-suite)
  • Welcome public speaking opportunities beyond client work, such as industry events, special Mintel initiatives, and writing articles/blogs

 

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5 years of relevant work experience, such as consulting, innovation, design, consumer market research
  • Total attention to quality work and on-time delivery
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with Mintel syndicated tools preferred
  • Expertise working with complex data sets, including statistics, online communities, consumer surveys, and syndicated sales data, such as IRI or Nielsen
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of time
