Mintel is seeking an Analyst to join our Social Media Research Team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in generating analysis and insight from a wide range of research sources. The Analyst will have a good understanding of and a passion for social media trends and strategies.

Ideal candidates will have exceptional writing and editing skills, and can demonstrate their ability to analyze market and consumer data to provide insight.  Attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and good communication skills are a must.  It is recommended that the prospective Analyst has knowledge of marketing research and a passion for consumer markets.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Create relevant, thoughtful analysis that deliver actionable insights to clients
  • Communicate findings through monthly report deliverables and presentations
  • Use a wide range of research tools, including social media monitoring tools, alongside quantitative and qualitative consumer research
  • Work collaboratively with Report Analysts to use social media to enhance our research
  • Provide insight and guidance directly to clients around key trends and product activity, in-person, via phone

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Total attention to quality work; ability to work on deadline and manage shifting priorities
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and oral; editing skills a must
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently on multiple assigned projects
  • 1-3 years of experience in analytics, writing or digital role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using social media monitoring platforms a plus (i.e., Infegy, Crimson Hexagon)
  • Ability to identify and explain observed trends and patterns
  • Passion for current events and news; is interested in consumer trends and is curious about emerging trends and technologies
  • Demonstrates an ability and willingness to understand new subject areas and industries
  • Can quickly adapt and manage multiple deadlines
