Mintel is looking for a Portuguese-speaking Account Manager to join our Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sales team in our Sao Paulo office. This is an exciting opportunity for a polished sales professional who is ambitious and performance-oriented. In addition to be being an exceptional individual sales performer, the ideal candidate will possess general knowledge and interest in market research principles and disciplines.

This position is responsible for managing and enriching account relationships within an assigned portfolio in Brazil across Mintel’s core CPG syndicated internet deliverable products. This position will also be responsible for business growth in our Custom Solutions research space. The focus of this position will be on-site account management designed to increase Mintel's presence within each account. Excellent product communication, networking, relationship development, product support, customer service, and up-selling skills are required.

The successful candidate will be rewarded with a base salary and open-ended commission. We also offer excellent benefits package and fully expensed business travel.


What You Will Be Doing:

  • Maintain and grow existing account relationships within an assigned territory using excellent communication skills, strong follow-up, and sharp attention to detail
  • Negotiate and close contracts and deliver industry leading renewal rates
  • Leverage client relationships to grow each account by securing additional products or services to achieve a targeted portfolio
  • Identify new champions within organizations to increase revenue streams
  • Network throughout assigned accounts by leveraging contacts throughout client organizational structures
  • Deliver creative business solutions to prove return on investment (ROI) on a monthly or quarterly basis to aid in the renewal and enrichment process
  • Become a product expert across all Mintel CPG products and services
  • Create and maintain strategic business plans specific to assigned portfolio
  • Deliver accurate forecasts to sales management
  • Effectively utilize Mintel’s sales database CRM system (
  • Consistently deliver exceptional sales results against target


What We Are Looking For:

  • Bilingual Portuguese/English required, Spanish highly desired
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years proven consultative sales experience within the CPG arena
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with impeccable organizational, analytical and planning skills
  • Strong account management and business development background, with proven success in expanding client relationships and excellence in maximizing account potential
  • Highly polished, professional and consultative selling style
